It’s used topically for alleged anti-aging effects, but most importantly, there are some studies supporting the use of collagen as a supplement (with your regular protein intake, not instead of it)! If you prefer it in a jelly-forming or thickening powder, I suspect gelatin will serve a similar purpose.
