The old model: the “Push” Model…. goes something like this: you push food into your mouth, something something something -> it ends up expanding your fat mass. Aka the energy balance model (EBM), CICO, various inglourious epithets, etc., etc. Basically it explains everything and nothing. Weight loss happens when you push less food into your gullet.
